“We had this property for a special birthday celebration, with lots of friends and family flying in from abroad. The house has a terrific open feel and is very tastefully furnished with individually chosen pieces, which gives the house a real family feel. The pool and gardens are great, with views to the ocean. My favourite sushi restaurant is just up the road in Havi, along with lots of lovely little shops for browsing - and buying!”

“We had a large group, 3 couples and 8 kids and the home accommodated us easily. Strangely enough, all the bedrooms are almost the same size so no pulling straws to see who got the kids room with bunk beds.

We didn’t feel like paying $800 a night for one room at a resort so we opted to rent a large home that could accommodate the entire party.

If you plan on vacationing on the big island, Hula Hula Ranch is the place to stay. The house is gorgeous and the view is absolutely stunning. We had a 180 degree view of the ocean with perfectly manicured lawn and palm trees, beautiful daily sunsets,. It was very therapeutic to breath in fresh clean air (never had to turn the AC on), take in the vista, listen to the rustle of palm tree leaves.

The Sonos system inside and out provided a great enhancement to the ambiance where ever we were gathered with music of our choice.

the house is so conducive to bringing people together with the huge open common areas and beautiful backyard we spent most of our time outside.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. Located on a private street with only one other home, you have the feeling you have the island to yourself! The home furnishings are upscale, yet extremely comfortable to live in for the week. Having the pool and hot tub was a home run for our grandchildren who couldn’t get enough of it.

Get prepared to see the most stars of your life at night while soaking in the hot spa! Everyone who stayed agreed that we could’ve just stayed in the house all week and have enjoyed ourselves immensely. However, the location is great because you are removed but have easy access to the major towns, stores, golf courses, and beaches. Everything seemed to be within 30 minutes.”

“This house was designed with family in mind. The open floor plan brings families together by creating a welcome and relaxing atmosphere. The home can easily accommodate 16 people which is what we had in our group, there are up to 7 beds and 7 baths with one being a separate Ohana (great for elderly guests who might want a break from all the action in the main house)

My wife and I love the big island, especially Kohala Ranch. It is peaceful and private Kohala Ranch is a gated community very close to great beaches like Mauna Kea and Hapuna, arguably the best 2 beaches on the island.

This is a beautiful spacious home that provides a great view of the coast and ocean. It is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need - cookware, linens, board games, and books. The gas grill in the backyard is great for cooking fresh meat from the market. We enjoyed many meals out on the lanai overlooking the ocean.

In terms of view, amenities, and location, this property lives up to, if not surpasses, the description and the photographs. The design of the house takes advantage of the trade winds, which kept the house cool at night. As the day ended we would retire to our bedrooms each of which had satellite and a flat screen TV.
Sitting in the hot tub at night you could see the moonlight on the ocean and the stars were brillant. 4 of the bedrooms have patio doors that walk out to the lanai and the ocean view. The master bedroom has two patio doors out to the lanai. This home provided a place for us to remember the bonds shared by family and fun we have in each other’s company. The Hula Hula Ranch is a home where you want to go to get away from the world, enjoy the outdoor life and make memories of a lifetime.”
